Telling Stories with Photography . Perhaps what I see through the camera viewfinder is a micro reflection of how I view the world. After a career as an author
and entrepreneur, the past few years in Arizona have opened up new worlds of creativity with photography and writing. My husband, Mel Copen and I are represented in galleries in Sedona and Scottsdale. We are honored that our works grace the walls of many homes around the USA.

Through my lens. When you see one of my images, I want you to see a face of a person ~ a door ~ or a slice of life in a remote village, I want you to think about him, or her, or it ~ differently than you did before. I want you to better see, and understand the life they lead and their culture, if only for a few moments. I hope you will be INSPIRED.

Although I try to capture that the spirit of the land with my camera as well, my deep passion as a photographer continues to be telling stories through photography. I believe that by exposing young people to cross cultural diversity, we
have a chance to make a difference in how they see the world. With Copen Life Series, I create educational photography books. With or without my camera, I see true beauty around me everyday – from a tiny spider on a flower, to an elegant saguaro, to empty saddles, and doorways that invite you to enter. As you look at my “magical moments”, I hope you come away with a better picture of the warmth of people and how they live around the world.
